I've been busy working on getting someone to rent my house which attributes to the reasons of finding time to run. Well, that and my work is on the South side of OKC and my house is in Edmond:(

2/18/07: Week 6 training with OKC landrunners and wind.

Into week 6 of OKC memorial marathon training and it was 14 miles of stinging cold wind with the OKC Landrunners this Saturday 2/17/07. I finished and still know I have a long road of training ahead, but I felt pretty good and not too sore this morning after waking up.

Week 6 running log:
2/12: 3 miles
2/13: 3 miles
2/14: Day off
2/15: 7 miles treadmill YMCA
2/16: Ran out of time to run:(
2/17: 14 miles
2/18: Scheduled for 3-5 today...

2/11/07: Running struggles....argh...

So today I was supposed to run 12 miles. Instead...I struggled through 9.1 miles of blustery 15-20 mph winds at Lake Hefner...yuck. Then...after feeling guilty that I didnt complete my mileage for the day...I drove down to the YMCA to run 3 miles...but only made it 2 before realizing I didnt eat anything...probably attributing to my lack of motivation or energy to run. Anyway, I finished 11 miles for the day at around a 10 min / mile pace....far below where I need to be, but I still have some time before April 29th.

In other news: Oklahoma State beat Texas Tech in a double overtime thriller in Stillwater. (See the 2 pics below.) I received 2 tickets from my good ole buddy from OSU Mark Wimmer. Thanks Mark! Me and Susan had a lot of fun watching OSU almost blow it twice...and then finally win in double OT:)

Game details...

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Running recap from 2/9 - 2/11:
2/9: 3 miles @ 8:34 pace
2/10: 4.5 miles around Earlywine Park
2/11: 11 miles of struggles...Hefner and YMCA.

Week Total: 31.5 miles

2/8: Running fun...Week 5:)

Week 5:

2/5: Scheduled to NOT run, but did anyway;) 3 miles at 8:34 pace.
2/6: Ran 3 miles per my schedule @ 8:34 pace
2/7: Ran 5.10 miles on treadmill at YMCA => 8:34 pace.
2/8: Scheduled for a 3 miler tonight....getting ready for a 12 miler on Sat. morning.

In other news...I just read Anna Nicole Smith died today. Was not a real big fan, but its still sad to see a woman with younger children die so young.

2/4/07: I'm sore...ouch...

So...work was fun today....especially after a 7.5 mile run...and then I get to do another 3 tomorrow morning because I was 2.5 miles short for my targeted 10 miler this morning. Technically I ran/walked the entire 10 miles, but I still feel as if I need to run the whole distance;)

2/2: 2.5 miles
2/3: 4.5 miles
2/4: 7.5 miles
2/5: Scheduled to NOT run miles...but I am going to anyway;) Cant let my Dad beat me in the OKC memorial marathon on April 29th...although he likely will at this rate;)

In other news...Oklahoma State AND Texas Tech lost their respective Mens basketball games yesterday. At least Texas Tech had a respectable opponent...unlike OSU...that was beaten by the now 6-13 Colorado Buffaloes. More news here...

2/1/07: Work and training excitement...

Today was fun-filled and exciting working as a sys admin for a federal agency;)
I mainly worked with some HPOpenview and Oracle IAS issues and tried working some policies within HPOpenview using the PingNodeGroup utility from OVinternals. Testing and configuring different tasks to look for messages in the Message Browser and fire off notifications to various LOB's etc within the organization based on criticality...blah blah blah;) Ovinternals has a good set of sys admin utilities/tools that are outside of the normal OVOW 7.5 implementation.

This weeks running totals thus far:

1/29/07: Rest Day...YEA!!!
1/30/07: ran 4 miles at 8:34 pace
1/31/07: Didnt get to run:( (was supposed to run 5).
2/1/07: Ran 5 (was supposed to run 4 miles.)
2/2/07: Targeted to run at least 3-5 miles before a nice 10 miler on Sat. morning!:) Looks like it will be a balmy 23 degrees Fahrenheit on Sat. morning!:)
