8/20: Ran 3.5 miles around neighborhood
8/21: Ran 8.5 good miles around Lake Hefner
8/22: Ran 3.5 miles around neighborhood
8/23: Ran 7 miles around neighborhood
8/24: Rest Day
8/25: Ran 2.5 miles around neighborhood
8/26: Ran 2 x 6.5 mile runs...one early morning...one late evening...So 13 miles...
Target miles for Week 10: 40-42 miles
Actual Week 10 mileage: 38 miles
So inevitably my pure goal for the Chicago Marathon is to finish. With having personal property stolen on a long run weekend...to work and moving...and cars flooding...its been a battle to find time to get the proper miles and nutrition in to really put a good marathon together. With that said...I am still going to do my best to "finish" the Chicago Marathon in under 5 hours which I think is definitely doable at a 11min/mile or so pace. Start slow...finish slower...is my motto going into the marathon:) Maybe this next 4 weeks of hard training and hopefully cooler weather before I taper is going to pay off...I definitely hope so:)

Carl, remain optmistic about Chicago.
So much of the race is about executing well, and there's a lot of wisdom in starting slow and passing a boatload of others...
Keep up the great work!
Thanks Tom:) Your words are more motivation for me to keep on running. :)
